Ladds Mountain in Georgia is a former limestone quarry that is no longer active, while mining the quarry several cave systems were discovered containg many beautiful formations.
Today this site is owned by Bartow County and is used as a landfill for road debris from construction etc. Collecting by mineral collectors is allowed, you need to contact the caretaker at: 770-387-5140, when you arrive you need to proceed to the maintnance building and sign a release form, you must also return at the end of the day and sign again and let them know you are leaving.
